Alexander Chee is the bestselling author of the novels Edinburgh and The Queen of the Night, and the essay collection, How to Write an Autobiographical Novel. He is an associate professor of English and Creative Writing at Dartmouth College. He is a recipient of the Whiting Award and a NEA in fiction. His essays and stories have appeared most recently in Best American Essays 2016, The New Republic, WSJ, New York Times Travel, T Magazine, and Tin House. He is a contributing editor at VQR and The New Republic. He grew up in Maine and Korea, and splits his time between New York City, and Bradford, VT.
