I am seeking representation for Lucy's Way, my climate change novel for people 11 to 111. Set in the years 2054—2056, The Transformation of Lucy’s Way shows a time when the planet has been decarbonized, where kids pedal to school in sunways (100 mile long greenhouses that invigorate local, year-round agriculture in temperate climates) and where a massive planetary effort to drawdown carbon relies on plants, animals and people everywhere to work intensively with nature to move excess atmospheric carbon into plant life, the sea and the soil.
     Lucy, an introverted twelve-year-old is saving up to buy a llama, hopefully her favorite llama, Oatcakes. When she discovers that official climate workers qualify for discounts when buying animals for regenerative farms, she secretly applies to be Canada’s youngest climate worker. Then, when her parents unexpectedly move the family to Cape Cod, Massachusetts for a school year, her secret plan to buy a llama appears to be doomed. On the Cape, Lucy makes new friends and faces unexpected circumstances that call on her inner strength and her growing resolve to inspire the Climate Healing Generation.
